As a marquetry artist for nearly three decades, I have dedicated my career to transforming the natural beauty of wood into unique works of art. In creating Marquetry World (MW Cases), I drew upon the decades of expertise held by Intarzia Stúdió Kft. Here, we don’t just preserve the values of the past; we enrich the aesthetics of the present. Our core focus is the production of bespoke marquetry elements that adorn exclusive furniture, prestigious interiors, and luxury yachts.

Marquetry World (MW Cases) is not your average accessory brand. We are built on the legacy of Intarzia Stúdió Kft., where we don’t just refine the past—we shape the present. Our specialty lies in crafting unique marquetry elements: exquisite wood veneers that elevate luxury furniture and interior spaces.

I am proud that our expertise is recognized internationally. A prime example is our collaboration with the American firm Stephens Design Group Inc., for whom we produced precision wood marquetry components for high-profile projects. I have now translated this same expertise, material knowledge, and uncompromising quality into a smaller scale: directly onto the back of your smartphone.

What exactly is Marquetry?

  • Many mistake it for painted patterns, but with us, every line is real. Marquetry is the irreplaceable interplay of wood’s natural colors and grain patterns.
  • In our workshop, we cut and assemble paper-thin, 0.6 mm precious wood veneers with hairline precision.
  • We use the colors of nature: the deep brown of walnut, the light cream of maple, or the intricate patterns of ash create the design.
  • Since no two trees share the same grain, no two cases are ever identical.
  • What you hold in your hand is a unique, unrepeatable creation.

Portable Design: A New Form of Elegance

I observed that while modern smartphones are technological marvels, they often feel cold and industrial, lacking a soul. Why should beautiful wood surfaces be confined to the walls of premium interiors or boardroom tables?

Marquetry World’s mission is to make the experience of high-end design portable. The faceplates of our cases are crafted with the exact same care and technology as our largest interior design commissions.

My Philosophy

In an era of mass production, I believe in authentic value. For me, "premium" is not just a label—it is the warm touch of the wood, the precision of the joints, and a deep respect for the material.
