Every Marquetry World case is unique, but this model represents the crème de la crème of materials. We use genuine wood veneers (absolutely no plastic imitation!) assembled using the traditional, highly skilled marquetry technique.

The Woods Used in This Model

The foundation of the case is the rare and highly valued Macassar Ebony. This dark, almost black wood, streaked with characteristic brown stripes—a material typically reserved for luxury furniture and fine musical instruments—is now in your hands.

Surface Treatment

The Secret of Hard Wax

Many manufacturers "seal off" the wood with a thick layer of varnish. We don't. After fine sanding, we saturate the surface with premium hard wax oil. This natural material deeply penetrates the pores, providing a silky sheen and water-repellent protection while preserving the wood's warm, velvety feel. It won't slip or feel sticky—you are left with only the sensation of pure wood and its textures.
